BJ Scott writes: "Hey everyone! My new novel, The Queen's Fencer, releases today from Five Star, a division of Thomson-Gale! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement...
(It's the same basic story as Swordplay: An Elizabethan Romance, which I published myself in 2000, but now it's professionally edited, completely updated and vastly improved. Think of it as version 4.0!) Please check out my website (thanks, Steve!) at www.queensfencer.com. The marketing department at Five Star hasn't caught up, so the complete info is not yet appearing on Amazon.com or bn.com (Barnes and Noble), but you can place orders there now, or go to your local bookstore or library and ask for a copy. John Rudolf writes: We just announced our new web-site: www.johnrudolf.com.
We are doing a bit of channel consulting, educating the small or secondary publisher on the ways of the channel...at the same time, we are available for Sales and Marketing engagements, given my 1000 years experience in and out of the channel, and the publishing world. (10/13/2004)

After several years at Lotus Karen Doherty took a package and went to work for Monster.com where she lead a $150M sales channel. In November of 2002, I left Monster and realized with all my sales and marketing training I wanted to provide clients with a service they needed and wanted, that focused on primary functionality of a business process. So, the concept for zenhire, Inc. was born. As founder and president I engaged a few former colleagues from Monster and Wang and started a company that focuses on the Recruiting and Staffing sector of the business. The foundation of our service is built around work-flow management and integration of key applications and services with a patent-pending Applicant Triage(TM) technology that has a high rate of precision in matching qualifications listed within a resume to a job requisition. We've soft launched with beta customers who are amazed at the simplicity of our service and robust results in delivering only qualified candidates. What is so different about zenhire? Its technology, regardless of the source or format of resumes, our technology reads content and sources, selects and matches only those applicants that will qualify for interviewing. The hiring workflow is completely automated and operates as an ASP. It can be used as a stand-a-lone services or augment existing HRIS systems. It meets HR-XML standards and enables the client to meet government compliance regulations by recording all activity associated with a resume.
We at zenhire are very excited about our new service and will be launch this November in New York at the Javits Center at the Kennedy Information Expo. If you are in the neighbor, stop by the Kennedy Show and see us. For more information about zenhire, Inc.visit www.zenhire.com. (9/27/2004)

A note from BJ Scott - Turner (aka Caitlin Scott - Turner)
Hi everyone,
Hope this finds you all happy and in good health. Some of you may remember that one of my hobbies is writing fiction (no wonder I didn't mind doing all those project plans schedules...) I also have a passion for the Elizabeth world - my degree is in English history (with emphasis on the Tudor era) and I've been reading and studying it all my life. (That's why I always remember dates...) Well, after all this time my first novel, Swordplay: An Elizabethan Romance, has been published! Can you believe it? I didn't use the name "BJ" when I submitted my manuscript for publication. Instead, I came up with a pen name, Caitlin Scott - Turner is my name now, after all, I've always liked the name Caitlin. What the heck! This is the positioning statement: Swordplay is an old-fashioned historical novel, filled with sword fights, sea battles, court intrigue and romantic adventure.

Please feel free to forward this email to your friends - and accept my apologies if you get more than one messages from me. I'm thrilled to bits!
Thanks,
BJ Scott-Turner (aka, Caitlin Scott-Turner)

Ex-Loti goes Hollywood! Did you know that former Loti Dan Murphy has gone to Hollywood? He was recently spotted in the Jim carey movie, "Me, Myself & Irene". Dan plays an FBI agent who is introduced to Jim Carey's character. Said one AXLE member, "The face looked familiar but I wasn't sure it was him until the credits rolled. Pretty cool to see him and more proof that you can't go anywhere without running into Loti."
