Ron Herardian began his career in electronic
messaging at cc:Mail, Inc.,in Silicon Valley, California. When cc:Mail was acquired by
Lotus Development in 1991 Ron became a Lotus employee and transitioned from LAN-based
e-mail to client/server messaging and groupware with Lotus Notes and Domino. Ron spent
several years working with Lotus and other messaging products in systems engineering,
development, and testing capacities. At Lotus, Ron worked directly with large enterprise
messaging customers and in 1993 was honored with the first-ever cc:First Class employee
recognition award for work on integration of Internet technology with Lotus e-mail
products.In 1994 Ron left Lotus to launch a consulting and software development
venture, Global System Services Corporation (GSS), headquartered in Cambridge, MA. GSS
defines the role of the Messaging Integrator and is the leading consulting firm in the
Lotus and Internet standards-based messaging areas. With offices in the Boston and Silicon
Valley areas, GSS is a Qualified Lotus Business Partner, a Certified Microsoft Solution
Provider, a Netscape Solution Expert, and a member of the Electronic Messaging Association
(EMA) with industry-certified professionals on staff.

A California native, Ron is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and the Internet
Society (ISOC). He holds a BS degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University and a
Master's degree from Stanford University.
